Anna: Good afternoon and welcome to Hampshire news. Today we will be talking to Gretel about her kidnap and child abuse story, also Tink and Peter fall out again, and snow white is expecting a baby! The shocking news of Alan Sugars children being put through slavery and abuse. Alan Sugar got rushed to hospital early in the morning on 22nd February with serious heart failure, during his time at hospital, his wife, Ann Simons took care of his children Hansel and Gretel, aged 10.

Around 2pm, Ann took the children for a walk in the new forest, as Ann went home, with the children in the woods. The children expected her to return, but she did not, and both Hansel and Gretel got lost. Ann Simons reported the twins lost. For 4 days, the children were found and brought to a house, where 3 men used them for slavery. On the 26th February, 9:12am, Gretel turned up at the Lyndhurst police station, she told the police officers (Phillip Williams and Peter Smith) how she got away but left her brother there, Gretel was unsure if Hansel was ok or not, soon after a search party went out for Hansel all over the new forest.

Here is Mary-Anne at the crime scene where Hansel was found.

Crime scene

Mary-Anne: After 4 hours of searching, at 6pm, Hansel was found in Brocknhurst by officers (James Logan and Charlotte Davies). Hansel beaten and alone, currently he is in Southampton hospital with serious injuries. Back to Anna in the studio.

Interview

Anna: What did you witness?

Mary-Anne: It was horrible, I saw my brother getting beaten and tortured. We were kept in a small room over night and were only brought out to do chores, it was cruel.

Anna: How did you feel to see your brother hurt?

Mary-Anne: Ive never felt so sick in my life, I couldn’t stop shaking, I want everything to go back to how it was, Ive never felt any worse. *sobs/sniffs*I hate it.

Anna: How did you get away?

Mary-Anne: I managed to smash a window whilst Hansel got taken out of the room. I just ran and I didn’t stop.

Anna: What are you feelings toward Ann Simons?

Why didn’t she come back, for me and Hansel? Im so angry, shes always has something against us both. I don’t understand why she did it. *sobs/sniffs*

Publics opinion

Teacher1: Nobody deserves what’s happened. How could someone be so cruel to children? Horrific, absolutely horrific. They should be sentenced to death, nasty creatures.

Teacher2: Ann Simons is out of order to leave 10 year olds in the forest like that, she should treat them children as if they were her own. Unbelievable! And all for money!

Anna: More will be updated soon, thank you and good night.

Title

Title

‘Walk of Death for twins’

I chose this title/headline because it catches peoples eye with the word ‘death’. It interests them to read/see more. This headline/title instantly tell the audience that is going to a triadic story than involves two children and death.
